I have worked in the hair industry for the last 10 years. I absolutely love what I do! In many ways, I'm your typical girly girl. I have always loved getting my hair done. So when I was looking for a career change, I knew exactly the right choice. I had spent 10 years in marketing and public relations (I have my Bachelor's degree in Journalism), but I never felt like I was making a significant difference in the world. I wanted to do more for people.

 

Working behind the chair brings me that opportunity several days a week. I get to connect with people from all walks of life and that brings me true joy. I really love hearing all about my clients' lives. Obviously I enjoy their great days or major milestones, but it also means so much to me when they share their hardships and sad days too. I am so grateful to be a part of their lives!

 

Now as owner of First & Mane, I have the opportunity to have a similar kind of relationship with all of the stylists here as well.  It is a goal of mine to help them achieve their dreams and aspirations as well as my own. I would love for us all to succeed and better serve the community.

As for my work, I love change! You'll notice my looks change pretty frequently. So it's no surprise that my true loves behind the chair are the extremes...cutting and hair extensions. Bring on all of the major transformations! I also have more than 250 hands-on training hours in the Foundation Method. These are the only hair extensions I offer because I believe they are the healthiest option. My work in extensions has also boosted my love for hair color. Adding dimensional color can have a similar effect as extensions and there isn't much I love more than creating a great, full head of hair for my clients.

When I'm not working, I am with family. My husband, Kory, and I have two children. Avery is 14 and Kaleb is 8, and they are always on the go! We are big into soccer, but really love anything that takes us outside.
